This website is for my students to have the resources they need for my class and to make important announcements.
Hello! My name is Kerry Richmond and I am very happy to have your student in my class this year. I’d like to begin by telling you a little about myself. I grew up in Summers County, West Virginia and I am a graduate of Concord University in Athens, WV. I received my Bachelors Degree from Concord in 2003. I began my teaching career in McDowell County, WV. I taught there for three years before receiving my Masters Degree, also from Concord, then moving to a position with the West Virginia Board of Education. I spent three years working as a Mathematics and Science Coordinator before returning to the classroom in 2010. After teaching for 7 more years, I decided to take a position with McGraw-Hill Education. The past year I have traveled all over the United States doing sales presentations and trainings for teachers and now I have returned to the classroom.
This will be my 15th year teaching and my 1st year at Princeton Senior High School. I am so excited to be back and can’t wait for an exciting year of Science with your student and many others. We have a great year ahead of us!
It is important that you and your students are aware of rules, procedures, etc… in my classroom. I have sent home a packet with your student that I would like for you to look over with them, sign any documents, and return to me by
August 14, 2018.
I strongly believe that parental involvement is extremely important to be successful in any classroom. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read over the materials I have sent home with your student. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you throughout the school year.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Email is the best way to reach me, but you can always call the school and leave a message for me. I will return your call ASAP.
